Friendships, relationship, im going to kill Fartz..
Today had a rather interesting discussion with a few of my friends on the subject of, well, boyfriends. The conclusion? Boys are nothing but trouble. Now now, i know what Sean is thinking..no, men are trouble too. Anyway, im happily satisfied with the fact that im not the only one who has been/am exasperated with the boyfriend. My track record, as all of you well know, has, frankly, been not exactly favourable, with the last ending well, you-know-how.
The point im trying to make, however, is that as women/girls/females, whichever the fairer sex prefers, we're constantly being subjected to a huge connundrum in terms of the need/want for a boyfriend and the agitation that ensues. (Cant believe my bloody Law interviewers asked me about Declining Birth Rates in Singapore. Wanted to look at her, bang my hand on the table and shout, "What do i look like?! A baby machine?!" Instead i tactfully restrained myself, gave textbook answers without falling asleep and sliding too far down my chair.) Take for instance one of my dear friends, who unwittingly became someone's girlfriend practically overnight. *applause* But then again, we are all guilty of that unknowing crime. What never ceases to amaze me is how guys take such great liberties in assuming that a relationship progresses in the way they want it to. Imagine being subjected to huge, and i mean huge, commitments so early in one's relationship. Are relationships restrictive? Yes. Definitely. Then why do we all want one? Why do we all at some point or other feel obliged to enter into a binding restrictive net of what seems like eternal suffering either in terms of crushing on someone unrequittedly(yes my dears, it goes for the guys too) or getting into a steady(and hence more claustrophobic) relationship. I can quite safely say ive never seriously crushed on anyone in my life. A good thing? Not necessarily. Stupid? Probably seeing i have entered into relationships where the feelings are not mutual on my part.
Which brings me to a very important issue another wise friend pointed out just now. She said in all seriousness, "The key to a lasting relationship is to find a guy who loves u more than u love him." This coming from a girl who's only just on the mere beginnings of her first relationship i.e. still reeling from the sweetness and deliriousness of having a boytoy. She also managed to talk to him on the cellphone behind a pillar outside macdonalds for about 3 of the 4 hours we met. Judging from my past boyfriends, however, the guy liking u more than u like him obviously has no bearing on the length of the relationship.

Now to my dear friend fartz, i m not high, chi or otherwise. Dont make me go over and smack you. And dont make fun of how, alas, my last ended. It is not nice, nor is it pleasant. All i have to say to you is, mahjong, old friend, mahjong!

i can never understand how some people wouldnt mind actually marrying at this age. It is not only immoral, but indeed rather unwholesome. To each his own, i guess. Maybe im just waiting for the right guy to sweep me off my feet. My knight in shining armour, my tall, dark, wheeling, extravagantly rich, to-die-for handsome, majestically sweet, flawless (in my eyes at least) prince charming. Well, till then, there're always willing, decent, dedicated fillers. Am i evil or just realistic? Maybe a bit of a heartless bitch in the mix. But though life is short, it is interminably long. What people fear most are not well, cats, or even ghosts. They fear loneliness most. So instead of dismissing that filler, i strongly encourage you to take a step backwards for a while, check out 1) Looks 2)Wealth and 3)if he can drive yet. If the first 3 solicit ticks, jump on the travellator. It may go slow but it gets you there in the end. Did i hear someone say something about personality? Well, tt's a matter of personal preferrence.
