I think i haven't blogged about anything really in-depth for ages. And now i feel somehow like i miss him. Miss having him. How i messed up so badly and how he was probably the best thing that well, ok, fine, not that ever happened to me, but he was the best fit for the "job". He's perfect. How could i not have seen that? And he doesn't even have to be rich or wildly ambitious. He just has to be him.
Adam is well, Adam. Hot as he may be. He's just not Him. But sigh, somehow other people's problems made me come to this conclusion about Him. D'uh. Whatever. Its probably too late. Not that it'd ever work out. Him being there and me, well, being not there. And how he understands me so well and how he is such a great person. Damn it, i miss having him here...with me...me with him. And when he called me at 4.45 a.m. his time, it brought back dumb memories of how we'd talk about stupid things way into the night everyday or how before his runs, he'd ring me if i was up late/back late. We always managed to make things work..always managed to make time wind around us instead of succumbing to its stark restraints.
Whoever is lucky enough to get him as a boyfriend would probably..no..certainly, be the luckiest thing around. And im so jealous of who she may be. Whoever she is, whenever she does...

I put my cell in the fridge, my apple in my cupboard, almost ate my contacts twice, tried to apply hair gel as moisturizer, been keeping my room sooo sooo tidy, decided to get into the shower without any shampoo, conditioner or bath soap, been waking up w a silly grin on my very pretty face AND the clincher... i didnt go to a party last night just to hang out. I dont even know where to begin explaining how great life is here now. (i know, ask me again when prelims near, huh!) There're just soo many things that i cant update on all but i shall ramble on on whatever comes to mind for now.
Last night was Katie and Andrea's bday and we had this huge chocolate cake Katie's grandma sent her(i love her grandma!) and Andrea had chocolate muffins! The lot of us trucked over to Taylor's and i brought the blender over(heh for guess what...) and we had OJ, popcorn, screwdrivers, sex on the beach, haiwaan screws..etc and of course we totally OD-ed on chocolate!! lol it was soo mucch fuuun!! And its nice to experience different cultures and exchange perspectives on things and i love the words they use to describe certain things.
Uhh of course there's been shoppingggg..hell yeah! Ga-young is this really great Korean girl who has like totally the same taste and dislikes as me and when we're together its non-stop shouting of OMG, me too!! And we're both shopoholics! hahaa.. we were saying next time we're gonna share an apartment which is gonna be lk filled w mirrors and shoe racks and wardrobes and have lk a weee lil bookshelf for our textbooks!
My HAG has provided me which MUCH entertainment and reduced me to many-a-girlish screaming sessions with my dearest suite mates. Im still soo psyched he helddd my haaand!! haha.. Ok alicia, chill out.. lol My future husband (HEH) too has been a great source of entertainment. OMG cld he BE more perfecct? We got Vodka and OJ..and we're like uhh this is fucking shady... and he's like come on up and we see its a frat and there're lk 6 of us so we go in and it was freaking shady as hell but it was fuun! We..or i at least learnt some new drinking games.. it was soo freaking funny.. Fuck the Dealer and Ride the bus!! Woot woot! The guy on my right was soo freaking stoned it wasnt funny tho..actually it was pretty damn funny...he had the crazyyy eyes and all.. friggin hilarious.
Annddd the thing tt sooo made my day today was that i was told to go look at the guy at this dining hall who swipes the cards for entry because he looks like the Clock from Beauty and the Beast... and i like went down today just to go check him out and HE SOOO BLOODY DOESS!!!!! OMG we were rolling on the floor with laughter... its such a bloody ressemblence its not funny!!
Sooo might be going to the mall(again heh) or to catch a movie or whatever after golf. Going to take a nap now. Yaay later im gonna be picked up frm the driving range, in a car... mwahahaha... *grin*
Have i said how much i love Cornell? How much i love university life? I wanna say i miss home, i miss my friends, that im homesick, that i want my own bed... but i cant say it and mean it a hundred percent. Though i do think of everyone sometimes, im truly happy here. I cant explain it. Everything feels right. No doubt there're a million assignments to finish, a ka-zillion readings to do..it all seems fair and squared out in the end, and how you can always find people to bitch to, to confide in, to help whirl the problems away. People who come over and share take-outs with you at like 2 in the morning, who do laundry with u at 3 a.m. or just HAGs who r cute and funny and lovely. People are so friendly, so cool, so hospitable. And sooo soo fun. The Americans really are madcappy and warm people. Ive already been invited to go spend Thanksgiving in Jersey with a friend and her family - i can't wait! Notwithstanding the parties(heeell yeah) and all the craziness here, its all really good.
Im kinda surprised that im not homesick or that i dont think of Singapore that often. Like someone was saying, that you'd definitely be homesick and that u'd need to "touch base" with like pple from your own country or culture. I do that with other Asians - american born and raised or the HK, koreans. Somehow not Singaporeans. I miss my popo but she calls often. My parents call like almost everyday and i talk to most of my friends in Singapore either on msn, through email or on the phone. Life's pretty hectic here, filled with excitement and chillin'. JC was definitely fun but here's fun in a different way. All the things we do, its nice how i dont feel out of place. Ironically i feel kinda out of place with the Singaporean crowd. Im truly not being snotty or anti-jingonistic here, but with some of the Singaporeans i clam up and i dont know what to do or say around them. With the Americans, the Hongkong peeps, the Koreans, the Japanese, the Australians, the Puerto Ricans, etc its all good. Everyone's cool. Dude, they're amazing. Of course i still like some of the Singaporeans!! And i learnt a new word today.. "Mo-Fo"..lol for those of u who dont know, ask me. haha.. Its used lk in "Dude, its so hot im sweating like a Mo-Fo!!" heehee..sooo my new catch phrase. Dude, yeahyeah, and now Mo-fo! Brian was counting and he claims i said "yeahyeah" lk 10 times in 4 min or something lk tt. Ass. lol
I don't know. This is how i feel. For now. And for now, i love Cornell. Im so glad i made this choice. And that i didnt stay in Singapore. Or go to England!
