Revelation.
Ive come to the realisation how useless i am. Well, in terms of consoling people anyhow.
Saw this snippet of a Chinese show on telly depicting a guy (who was obviously very disrot) and a girl (who obviously liked him very much)..and the guy was taking swigs of wine from one of those like China-ish-olden-day-wine-thingies n the girl told him, "If u wanna drink, i'll drink with u!" (okok i read the subtitles) and she grabbed a bottle of wine and started, well, drinking. Now i would never be able to do that. Firstly, i can't drink. I'd probably fall upon the ground after half a bottle. Secondly, what's the point?
Flashback to Jem. He wasn't happy about something or other and i was to meet him for a drink. I sorta sat with him staring at him drink his sorrows away for a while..like 5 mins.. then i called Sean to get his ass down and entertain me. I don't go to pubs to sit there and not talk. I don't go there just to drink in silence. If i go to a club there damn well better b dancing. If i go to a pub there damn well better be talking. i forget if that boy ever did get drunk that night.
Flashback to Micheal. Breakups suck and he apparently wasnt too thrilled about ours. He brought a few beers and decided to drink em by the beach. I was greatly bored outta my wits. Played snake for a while on my hp. Sms-ed a bit. Talked to my mother (she called). And basically did nothing for a really long time. Starting looking at my nails, thinking to myself "i really need a manicure" then i decided to check out if my pedicure was due too. Finally i realized if he gets drunk, who's gonna drive me home? So i firmly told him to put the bloody cans away.
Anyway, my point is, shouldnt u just let people get drunk when they want to? And why should u drink with them? Isnt tt defeating the whole purpose of that person getting drunk if someone else "shares" the frustration? Definitely. Now, what have we all learnt from this? Alicia is never wrong.
